[दुह] एवम एतन महाप्राज्ञ यथा वदसि मातुल नित्यं हि मे कथयतस तव बुद्धिर हि रॊचते ॥ ३-८-११ ॥
'Dussasana said, "O uncle, your words are indeed wise, and I am always guided by your counsel!"' ॥ 3-8-11 ॥
english translation
[कर] कामम ईक्षामहे सर्वे दुर्यॊधन तवेप्सितम ऐकमत्यं हि नॊ राजन सर्वेषाम एव लक्ष्यते ॥ ३-८-१२ ॥
'Karna then added, "O Duryodhana, we are all united in our determination to fulfill your desires. I observe that there is complete agreement among us."' ॥ 3-8-12 ॥

[व] एवम उक्तस तु कर्णेन राजा दुर्यॊधनस तदा नातिहृष्टमनाः कषिप्रम अभवत स पराङ्मुखः ॥ ३-८-१३ ॥
'Vaisampayana said, "Thus addressed by Karna, King Duryodhana, with a heart full of despondency, turned away from his counselors."' ॥ 3-8-13 ॥

उपलभ्य ततः कर्णॊ विवृत्य नयने शुभे रॊषाद दुःशासनं चैव सौबलेयं च ताव उभौ ॥ ३-८-१४ ॥
'Seeing this, Karna, with his beautiful eyes wide open and filled with anger, addressed Dussasana and Sakuni, saying:' ॥ 3-8-14 ॥

उवाच परमक्रुद्ध उद्यम्यात्मानम आत्मना अहॊ मम मतं यत तन निबॊधत नराधिपाः ॥ ३-८-१५ ॥
'Observing this, Karna, with his eyes wide open and full of fury, gesticulated vehemently and spoke haughtily to Duryodhana, Dussasana, and Sakuni, saying:' ॥ 3-8-15 ॥
