यस्य बाहू समाश्रित्य वयं सर्वे महात्मनाः मन्यामहे जितान आजौ परान पराप्तां च मेदिनीम ॥ ३-७९-२१ ॥

'Whose strength assures us of victory over our enemies and conquest of the earth itself.' ॥ 3-79-21 ॥

english translation

yasya bAhU samAzritya vayaM sarve mahAtmanAH manyAmahe jitAna Ajau parAna parAptAM ca medinIma ॥ 3-79-21 ॥

तम ऋते फल्गुनं वीरं न लभे काम्यके धृतिम शून्याम इव च पश्यामि तत्र तत्र महीम इमाम ॥ ३-७९-२२ ॥

'I find no peace in the woods of Kamyaka. Indeed, in every direction I look, everything appears desolate in his absence!' ॥ 3-79-22 ॥

english translation

tama Rte phalgunaM vIraM na labhe kAmyake dhRtima zUnyAma iva ca pazyAmi tatra tatra mahIma imAma ॥ 3-79-22 ॥

[नकुल] य उदीचीं दिशं गत्वा जित्वा युधि महाबलान गन्धर्वमुख्याञ शतशॊ हयाँल लेभे स वासविः ॥ ३-७९-२३ ॥

'Nakula: "Having journeyed to the western direction and vanquished the mighty Gandharvas in battle, he, O king, obtained a hundred horses from their chief, resembling those of Indra."' ॥ 3-79-23 ॥

english translation

[nakula] ya udIcIM dizaM gatvA jitvA yudhi mahAbalAna gandharvamukhyAJa zatazò hayA~la lebhe sa vAsaviH ॥ 3-79-23 ॥

राजंस तित्तिरि कल्माषाञ शरीमान अनिलरंहसः परादाद भरात्रे परियः परेम्ना राजसूये महाक्रतौ ॥ ३-७९-२४ ॥

'Without him who, journeying to the north, conquered countless mighty chiefs of the Gandharvas and returned with numerous splendid horses of the Tittiri and Kalmasha breeds, swift as the wind.' ॥ 3-79-24 ॥

rAjaMsa tittiri kalmASAJa zarImAna anilaraMhasaH parAdAda bharAtre pariyaH paremnA rAjasUye mahAkratau ॥ 3-79-24 ॥

तम ऋते भीमधन्वानं भीमाद अवरजं वने कामये काम्यके वासं नेदानीम अमरॊपमम ॥ ३-७९-२५ ॥

'Without him, the formidable Bhima who wields the bow, I do not wish to reside in the Kamyaka woods any longer, for my desire to dwell here is unfulfilled without that unparalleled hero.' ॥ 3-79-25 ॥

tama Rte bhImadhanvAnaM bhImAda avarajaM vane kAmaye kAmyake vAsaM nedAnIma amaròpamama ॥ 3-79-25 ॥
