तस्या रुदन्त्या सततं तेन शॊकेन पार्थिव परसादं कुरु वै वीर परतिवाक्यं ददस्व च ॥ ३-६७-११ ॥
'O king, O hero, show compassion and respond to her who weeps incessantly in her sorrow. Speak these words and more, so that he may feel inclined to show me pity.' ॥ 3-67-11 ॥
english translation
एतद अन्यच च वक्तव्यं कृपां कुर्याद यथा मयि वायुना धूयमानॊ हि वनं दहति पावकः ॥ ३-६७-१२ ॥
'Just as fire, fanned by the wind, consumes the forest, so too should the husband always protect and care for his wife.' ॥ 3-67-12 ॥
english translation
भर्तव्या रक्षणीया च पत्नी हि पतिना सदा तन नष्टम उभयं कस्माद धर्मज्ञस्य सतस तव ॥ ३-६७-१३ ॥
'A wife is to be protected and cherished by her husband at all times. Therefore, how can both be lost to one who is knowledgeable in righteousness?' ॥ 3-67-13 ॥
english translation
खयातः पराज्ञः कुलीनश च सानुक्रॊशश च तवं सदा संवृत्तॊ निरनुक्रॊशः शङ्के मद्भाग्यसंक्षयात ॥ ३-६७-१४ ॥
'You possess fame, wisdom, noble lineage, and kindness—why then act unkindly? I fear this is due to the loss of my good fortune!' ॥ 3-67-14 ॥
english translation
स कुरुष्व महेष्वास दयां मयि नरर्षभ आनृशंस्यं परॊ धर्मस तवत्त एव हि मे शरुतम ॥ ३-६७-१५ ॥
'Therefore, O tiger among men, have compassion for me. O bull among men!' ॥ 3-67-15 ॥
