मलेन संवृतॊ हय अस्यास तन्वभ्रेणेव चन्द्रमाः चिह्नभूतॊ विभूत्यर्थम अयं धात्रा विनिर्मितः ॥ ३-६६-६ ॥

sanskrit

'It appears to have vanished from our sight, obscured like the moon behind a veil of clouds, its beauty covered in dust. This mole, placed by the Creator as a sign of prosperity and wealth, is faintly visible, resembling the slender crescent of the moon at the beginning of the lighted fortnight.' ॥ 3-66-6 ॥

malena saMvRtò haya asyAsa tanvabhreNeva candramAH cihnabhUtò vibhUtyarthama ayaM dhAtrA vinirmitaH ॥ 3-66-6 ॥
