तां दृष्ट्वा तत्र मनुजाः के चिद भीताः परदुद्रुवुः के चिच चिन्तापरास तस्थुः के चित तत्र विचुक्रुशुः ॥ ३-६१-१११ ॥
'Upon seeing her, some fled in fear, while others were filled with anxiety. Some cried out, some laughed at her, and others harbored resentment.' ॥ 3-61-111 ॥
english translation
tAM dRSTvA tatra manujAH ke cida bhItAH paradudruvuH ke cica cintAparAsa tasthuH ke cita tatra vicukruzuH ॥ 3-61-111 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपरहसन्ति सम तां के चिद अभ्यसूयन्त चापरे चक्रुस तस्यां दयां के चित पप्रच्छुश चापि भारत ॥ ३-६१-११२ ॥
'Some laughed at her, while others harbored envy; some showed her compassion, and others, O Bharata, even inquired about her.' ॥ 3-61-112 ॥
english translation
parahasanti sama tAM ke cida abhyasUyanta cApare cakrusa tasyAM dayAM ke cita papracchuza cApi bhArata ॥ 3-61-112 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकासि कस्यासि कल्याणि किं वा मृगयसे वने तवां दृष्ट्वा वयथिताः समेह कच चित तवम असि मानुषी ॥ ३-६१-११३ ॥
'O blessed one, who are you and whose are you? What do you seek in these woods? Your presence here has frightened us. Are you indeed human?' ॥ 3-61-113 ॥

kAsi kasyAsi kalyANi kiM vA mRgayase vane tavAM dRSTvA vayathitAH sameha kaca cita tavama asi mAnuSI ॥ 3-61-113 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवद सत्यं वनस्यास्य पर्वतस्याथ वा दिशः देवता तवं हि कल्याणि तवां वयं शरणं गताः ॥ ३-६१-११४ ॥
'Tell us truly, O blessed one, are you the goddess of this forest, this mountain, or the heavens above? We seek your protection.' ॥ 3-61-114 ॥

vada satyaM vanasyAsya parvatasyAtha vA dizaH devatA tavaM hi kalyANi tavAM vayaM zaraNaM gatAH ॥ 3-61-114 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयक्षी वा राक्षसी वा तवम उताहॊ ऽसि वराङ्गना सर्वथा कुरु नः सवस्ति रक्षस्वास्मान अनिन्दिते ॥ ३-६१-११५ ॥
'Are you a female Yaksha, a Rakshasa, or a celestial maiden? O flawless one, grant us your complete blessing and safeguard us.' ॥ 3-61-115 ॥

yakSI vA rAkSasI vA tavama utAhò 'si varAGganA sarvathA kuru naH savasti rakSasvAsmAna anindite ॥ 3-61-115 ॥
