यथायं सर्वथा सार्थः कषेमी शीघ्रम इतॊ वरजेत तथा विधत्स्व कल्याणि तवां वयं शरणं गताः ॥ ३-६१-११६ ॥

'And, O auspicious one, act in such a way that this caravan may soon depart in prosperity, ensuring the welfare of us all.' ॥ 3-61-116 ॥

english translation

परत्युवाच ततः साध्वी भर्तृव्यसनदुःखिता सार्थवाहं च सार्थं च जना ये चात्र के चन ॥ ३-६१-११७ ॥

'Thus addressed by the caravan, Princess Damayanti, devoted to her husband and burdened by her misfortune.' ॥ 3-61-117 ॥

english translation

मानुषीं मां विजानीत मनुजाधिपतेः सुताम नृपस्नुषां राजभार्यां भर्तृदर्शनलालसाम ॥ ३-६१-११८ ॥

'O leader of the caravan, you merchants, youths, elders, and children, all who make up this company, know that I am indeed a human being. I am the daughter of a king, the daughter-in-law of a king, and the wife of a king, yearning for the sight of my beloved lord.' ॥ 3-61-118 ॥

english translation

विदर्भराण मम पिता भर्ता राजा च नैषधः नलॊ नाम महाभागस तं मार्गाम्य अपराजितम ॥ ३-६१-११९ ॥

'The ruler of the Vidarbhas is my father, and my husband is the lord of the Nishadhas, known as Nala. Even now, I am in search of that unvanquished and blessed one.' ॥ 3-61-119 ॥

english translation

यदि जानीत नृपतिं कषिप्रं शंसत मे परियम नलं पार्थिवशार्दूलम अमित्रगणसूदनम ॥ ३-६१-१२० ॥

'If you have happened to see my beloved, King Nala, that tiger among men and destroyer of hostile armies, please tell me at once.' ॥ 3-61-120 ॥
