गत्वा परकृष्टम अध्वानं दमयन्ती शुचिस्मिता ददर्शाथ महासार्थं हस्त्यश्वरथसंकुलम ॥ ३-६१-१०६ ॥
'After traveling along the splendid path, the virtuous and radiant Damayanti beheld a grand caravan, filled with elephants, horses, and chariots.' ॥ 3-61-106 ॥

gatvA parakRSTama adhvAnaM damayantI zucismitA dadarzAtha mahAsArthaM hastyazvarathasaMkulama ॥ 3-61-106 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउत्तरन्तं नदीं रम्यां परसन्नसलिलां शुभाम सुशीततॊयां विस्तीर्णां हरदिनीं वेतसैर वृताम ॥ ३-६१-१०७ ॥
'The lovely river flowing northward, with its clear and auspicious waters, cool and expansive, surrounded by reeds, was truly enchanting.' ॥ 3-61-107 ॥

uttarantaM nadIM ramyAM parasannasalilAM zubhAma suzItatòyAM vistIrNAM haradinIM vetasaira vRtAma ॥ 3-61-107 ॥

'Delightful to behold, the river was broad and lined with clusters of reeds, echoing with the calls of cranes, ospreys, and Chakravakas. It teemed with tortoises, alligators, and fish, and was dotted with countless islets.' ॥ 3-61-108 ॥
