एकवस्त्रार्धसंवीतं सुकुमारतनुत्वचम वयसनेनार्दितं वीरम अरण्यम इदम आगतम ॥ ३-६१-१०१ ॥
'Half-covered by a single garment, with delicate skin and body, The hero afflicted by misfortune, who has come to this forest.' ॥ 3-61-101 ॥
english translation
यथा विशॊका गच्छेयम अशॊकनग तत कुरु सत्यनामा भवाशॊक मम शॊकविनाशनात ॥ ३-६१-१०२ ॥
'O Ashoka tree, relieve me of my sorrow! Live up to your name, O Ashoka, for Ashoka means the one who destroys grief.' ॥ 3-61-102 ॥
english translation
एवं साशॊकवृक्षं तम आर्ता तरिः परिगम्य ह जगाम दारुणतरं देशं भैमी वराङ्गना ॥ ३-६१-१०३ ॥
'After circling the tree three times with a heart full of sorrow, that noble woman, the daughter of Bhima, ventured into a more dreadful part of the forest.' ॥ 3-61-103 ॥
english translation
सा ददर्श नगान नैकान नैकाश च सरितस तथा नैकांश च पर्वतान रम्यान नैकांश च मृगपक्षिणः ॥ ३-६१-१०४ ॥
'Wandering in search of her beloved, Bhima's daughter beheld an array of trees and streams, charming mountains, diverse creatures and birds, as well as caves, cliffs, and rivers of remarkable beauty.' ॥ 3-61-104 ॥
english translation
कन्दरांश च नितम्बांश च नदांश चाद्भुतदर्शनान ददर्श सा भीमसुता पतिम अन्वेषती तदा ॥ ३-६१-१०५ ॥
'Ravines, slopes, and rivers of wondrous appearance, Did the daughter of Bhima then see, while searching for her husband.' ॥ 3-61-105 ॥
