तानि तत्र परभास्वन्ति रूपवन्ति च पाण्डवः ददर्श सवेषु धिष्ण्येषु दीप्तिमन्ति सवयार्चिषा ॥ ३-४३-३१ ॥
'There, O Pandava, he saw in all the celestial abodes Those (divine beings) shining brightly, possessing beautiful forms, Radiant with their own luster.' ॥ 3-43-31 ॥
english translation
tAni tatra parabhAsvanti rUpavanti ca pANDavaH dadarza saveSu dhiSNyeSu dIptimanti savayArciSA ॥ 3-43-31 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत्र राजर्षयः सिद्धा वीराश च निहता युधि तपसा च जितस्वर्गाः संपेतुः शतसंघशः ॥ ३-४३-३२ ॥
'And there he beheld countless royal sages crowned with the glory of their ascetic achievements, along with valiant heroes who had laid down their lives in battle, and those who had attained heaven through their rigorous austerities.' ॥ 3-43-32 ॥
english translation
tatra rAjarSayaH siddhA vIrAza ca nihatA yudhi tapasA ca jitasvargAH saMpetuH zatasaMghazaH ॥ 3-43-32 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptगन्धर्वाणां सहस्राणि सूर्यज्वलन तेजसाम गुह्यकानाम ऋषीणां च तथैवाप्सरसां गणाः ॥ ३-४३-३३ ॥
'There were also thousands of Gandharvas, their forms radiant like the sun, as well as Guhyakas, Rishis, and numerous groups of Apsaras, all in great abundance.' ॥ 3-43-33 ॥

gandharvANAM sahasrANi sUryajvalana tejasAma guhyakAnAma RSINAM ca tathaivApsarasAM gaNAH ॥ 3-43-33 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलॊकान आत्मप्रभान पश्यन फल्गुनॊ विस्मयान्वितः पप्रच्छ मातलिं परीत्या स चाप्य एनम उवाच ह ॥ ३-४३-३४ ॥
'Beholding those self-effulgent realms, Arjuna was filled with awe and inquired of Matali. With pleasure, Matali responded to him.' ॥ 3-43-34 ॥

lòkAna AtmaprabhAna pazyana phalgunò vismayAnvitaH papraccha mAtaliM parItyA sa cApya enama uvAca ha ॥ 3-43-34 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएते सुकृतिनः पार्थ सवेषु धिष्ण्येष्व्व अवस्थिताः यान दृष्टवान असि विभॊ तारा रूपाणि भूतले ॥ ३-४३-३५ ॥
'These, O son of Pritha, are the virtuous beings residing in their designated realms. It is they whom you have observed, O exalted one, appearing as stars from the earthly vantage.' ॥ 3-43-35 ॥

ete sukRtinaH pArtha saveSu dhiSNyeSvva avasthitAH yAna dRSTavAna asi vibhò tArA rUpANi bhUtale ॥ 3-43-35 ॥
