ततॊ ऽपश्यत सथितं दवारि सितं वैजयिनं गजम ऐरावतं चतुर्दन्तं कैलासम इव शृङ्गिणम ।। ३-४३-३६ ।।

sanskrit

'Then Arjuna beheld at the gates of Indra's realm the splendid and ever-victorious elephant, Airavata, adorned with four magnificent tusks, resembling the peaks of Kailasa.' ।। 3-43-36 ।।

english translation

tatò 'pazyata sathitaM davAri sitaM vaijayinaM gajama airAvataM caturdantaM kailAsama iva zRGgiNama || 3-43-36 ||

hk transliteration

स सिद्धमार्गम आक्रम्य कुरुपाण्डवसत्तमः वयरॊचत यथापूर्वं मान्धाता पार्थिवॊत्तमः ।। ३-४३-३७ ।।

sanskrit

'Traveling along the path of the Siddhas, the foremost of the Kurus, the son of Pandu, sat resplendent in beauty like the illustrious king Mandhata, the best among rulers.' ।। 3-43-37 ।।

english translation

sa siddhamArgama Akramya kurupANDavasattamaH vayaròcata yathApUrvaM mAndhAtA pArthivòttamaH || 3-43-37 ||

hk transliteration

अतिचक्राम लॊकान स राज्ञां राजीवलॊचनः ततॊ ददर्श शक्रस्य पुरीं ताम अमरावतीम ।। ३-४३-३८ ।।

sanskrit

'Endowed with eyes like lotus petals, he traversed the realm reserved for virtuous kings. Finally, the renowned Arjuna, having passed through successive celestial regions, beheld Amaravati, the illustrious city of Indra.' ।। 3-43-38 ।।

english translation

aticakrAma lòkAna sa rAjJAM rAjIvalòcanaH tatò dadarza zakrasya purIM tAma amarAvatIma || 3-43-38 ||
