अवध्यॊ नाम नास्त्य अस्य तरैलॊक्ये सचराचरे मनसा चक्षुषा वाचा धनुषा च निपात्यते ॥ ३-४१-१६ ॥
'In the three worlds, among all mobile and immobile beings, none is beyond the reach of this weapon. It can be unleashed through thought, sight, words, or the draw of a bow.' ॥ 3-41-16 ॥
english translation
[वै] तच छरुत्वा तवरितः पार्थः शुचिर भूत्वा समाहितः उपसंगृह्य विश्वेशम अधीष्वेति च सॊ ऽबरवीत ॥ ३-४१-१७ ॥
'Vaisampayana continued, "Hearing these words, the son of Pritha cleansed himself and, with focused attention, approached the Lord of the Universe. He said, 'Please instruct me!"' ॥ 3-41-17 ॥

ततस तव अध्यापयाम आस सरहस्य निवर्तनम तद अस्त्रं पाण्डवश्रेष्ठं मूर्तिमन्तम इवान्तकम ॥ ३-४१-१८ ॥
'Mahadeva then revealed to that foremost of Pandu's sons the secrets of the weapon, which resembled the very essence of Yama, along with all its intricacies regarding its use and withdrawal.' ॥ 3-41-18 ॥

उपतस्थे महात्मानं यथा तर्यक्षम उमापतिम परतिजग्राह तच चापि परीतिमान अर्जुनस तदा ॥ ३-४१-१९ ॥
'The weapon then began to serve Arjuna as it once did Sankara, the lord of Uma, and Arjuna received it with great joy.' ॥ 3-41-19 ॥

ततश चचाल पृथिवी सपर्वतवनद्रुमा ससागरवनॊद्देशा सग्राम नगराकरा ॥ ३-४१-२० ॥
'At that moment, the entire earth—its mountains, forests, trees, seas, villages, towns, and mines—trembled in response.' ॥ 3-41-20 ॥
