अमित्रं मित्रसंपन्नं मित्रैर भिन्दन्ति पण्डिताः भिन्नैर मित्रैः परित्यक्तं दुर्बलं कुरुते वशे ॥ ३-३४-६६ ॥
'Without a doubt, as I have stated, the wise alienate the friends of their enemy, causing them to abandon him.' ॥ 3-34-66 ॥
english translation
amitraM mitrasaMpannaM mitraira bhindanti paNDitAH bhinnaira mitraiH parityaktaM durbalaM kurute vaze ॥ 3-34-66 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसत्त्वेन कुरुते युद्धं राजन सुबलवान अपि नॊद्यमेन न हॊत्राब्भिः सर्वाः सवीकुरुते परजाः ॥ ३-३४-६७ ॥
'One cannot always conquer a kingdom merely through persistent efforts or by employing arts of conciliation, unless fueled by true courage.' ॥ 3-34-67 ॥
english translation
sattvena kurute yuddhaM rAjana subalavAna api nòdyamena na hòtrAbbhiH sarvAH savIkurute parajAH ॥ 3-34-67 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसर्वथा संहतैर एव दुर्बलैर बलवान अपि अमित्रः शक्यते हन्तुं मधुहा भरमरैर इव ॥ ३-३४-६८ ॥
'Sometimes, O king, even weak men, when united in large numbers, can defeat a powerful foe, just as bees, by sheer force of numbers, can overpower the thief of their honey.' ॥ 3-34-68 ॥
english translation
sarvathA saMhataira eva durbalaira balavAna api amitraH zakyate hantuM madhuhA bharamaraira iva ॥ 3-34-68 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयथा राजन परजाः सर्वाः सूर्यः पाति गभस्तिभिः अत्ति चैव तथैव तवं सवितुः सदृशॊ भव ॥ ३-३४-६९ ॥
'As for yourself, O king, just as the sun sustains and yet can scorch creatures with its rays, so should you adopt the ways of the sun in governing your realm.' ॥ 3-34-69 ॥
english translation
yathA rAjana parajAH sarvAH sUryaH pAti gabhastibhiH atti caiva tathaiva tavaM savituH sadRzò bhava ॥ 3-34-69 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतद धयपि तपॊ राजन पुराणम इति नः शरुतम विधिना पालनं भूमेर यत्कृतं नः पितामहैः ॥ ३-३४-७० ॥
'To protect one’s kingdom and properly care for the people, as practiced by our ancestors, is considered a form of asceticism mentioned in the Vedas, as we have heard.' ॥ 3-34-70 ॥

etada dhayapi tapò rAjana purANama iti naH zarutama vidhinA pAlanaM bhUmera yatkRtaM naH pitAmahaiH ॥ 3-34-70 ॥
