तच चेद अफलम अस्माकं नापराधॊ ऽसति नः कव चित इति घॊरॊ ऽनववेक्ष्यैव नात्मानं तत्र गर्हयेत ॥ ३-३३-४६ ॥

'Even if I still face failure despite my efforts, no blame can be assigned to me. With this mindset, he maintains his composure and refrains from self-reproach.' ॥ 3-33-46 ॥

english translation

कुर्वतॊ नार्थसिद्धिर मे भवतीति ह भारत निर्वेदॊ नात्र गन्तव्यॊ दवाव एतौ हय अस्य कर्मणः सिद्धिर वाप्य अथ वासिद्धिर अप्रवृत्तिर अतॊ ऽनयथा ॥ ३-३३-४७ ॥

'O Bharata, one should not despair by saying, 'I am making an effort, yet success eludes me.' Success depends on more than just exertion; it also requires the alignment of various factors. Whether one achieves success or faces failure, despair is unwarranted, as the outcome hinges on the combination of multiple circumstances.' ॥ 3-33-47 ॥

english translation

बहूनां समवाये हि भावानां कर्म सिध्यति गुणाभावे फलं नयूनं भवत्य अफलम एव वा अनारम्भे तु न फलं न गुणॊ दृश्यते ऽचयुत ॥ ३-३३-४८ ॥

'If a crucial element is missing, success will either be incomplete or unattainable. Conversely, without exertion, there can be no success, and there is nothing to commend in the absence of effort.' ॥ 3-33-48 ॥

english translation

देशकालाव उपायांश च मङ्गलं सवस्ति वृद्धये युनक्ति मेधया धीरॊ यथाशक्ति यथाबलम ॥ ३-३३-४९ ॥

'The wise, using their intelligence and full capability, ensure that the right place, time, resources, and auspicious actions are in place to achieve prosperity. One should approach work with carefulness and vigilance, guided primarily by one's own skill and capability.' ॥ 3-33-49 ॥

english translation

अप्रमत्तेन तत कार्यम उपदेष्टा पराक्रमः भूयिष्ठं कर्मयॊगेषु सर्व एव पराक्रमः ॥ ३-३३-५० ॥

'One should perform their tasks with diligence and attentiveness, guided by their own valor. Indeed, in all significant endeavors, valor is the greatest asset.' ॥ 3-33-50 ॥
