एतावद एव पर्याप्तम उपमानं शुचिस्मिते कर्मणां फलम अस्तीति धीरॊ ऽलपेनापि तुष्यति ॥ ३-३२-३१ ॥
'These, O gracious one, are the best proofs of the fruits of virtue. Those who have mastered their minds reap the rewards of their actions and find contentment even with modest gains.' ॥ 3-32-31 ॥
english translation
etAvada eva paryAptama upamAnaM zucismite karmaNAM phalama astIti dhIrò 'lapenApi tuSyati ॥ 3-32-31 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptबहुनापि हय अविद्वांसॊ नैव तुष्यन्त्य अबुद्धयः तेषां न धर्मजं किं चित परेत्य शर्मास्ति कर्म वा ॥ ३-३२-३२ ॥
'Ignorant fools are never content with what they receive, as they lack the happiness derived from virtue to attain in the afterlife.' ॥ 3-32-32 ॥
english translation
bahunApi haya avidvAMsò naiva tuSyantya abuddhayaH teSAM na dharmajaM kiM cita paretya zarmAsti karma vA ॥ 3-32-32 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकर्मणाम उत पुण्यानां पापानां च फलॊदयः परभवश चाप्ययश चैव देव गुह्यानि भामिनि ॥ ३-३२-३३ ॥
'O beautiful one, the fruitlessness of virtuous acts prescribed in the Vedas, as well as the nature of transgressions, and the origins and dissolution of actions, remain mysterious even to the gods.' ॥ 3-32-33 ॥
english translation
karmaNAma uta puNyAnAM pApAnAM ca phalòdayaH parabhavaza cApyayaza caiva deva guhyAni bhAmini ॥ 3-32-33 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनैतानि वेद यः कश चिन मुह्यन्त्य अत्र परजा इमाः रक्ष्याण्य एतानि देवानां गूढमाया हि देवताः ॥ ३-३२-३४ ॥
'These truths are not known to everyone; ordinary people remain ignorant of them. The gods maintain this mystery, for the divine illusion that conceals their conduct is beyond comprehension.' ॥ 3-32-34 ॥
english translation
naitAni veda yaH kaza cina muhyantya atra parajA imAH rakSyANya etAni devAnAM gUDhamAyA hi devatAH ॥ 3-32-34 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकृशाङ्गाः सुव्रताश चैव तपसा दग्धकिल्बिषाः परसन्नैर मानसैर युक्ताः पश्यन्त्य एतानि वै दविजाः ॥ ३-३२-३५ ॥
'Those twice-born who have renounced all desires, who place their hope in vows and ascetic practices, who have burned away all sins, and whose minds are filled with quest, peace, and purity, are the ones who understand these truths.' ॥ 3-32-35 ॥

kRzAGgAH suvratAza caiva tapasA dagdhakilbiSAH parasannaira mAnasaira yuktAH pazyantya etAni vai davijAH ॥ 3-32-35 ॥
