नाचरिष्यन परे धर्मं परे परतरे चये विप्रलम्भॊ ऽयम अत्यन्तं यदि सयुर अफलाः करियाः ॥ ३-३२-२६ ॥
'No one would pursue salvation, seek knowledge, or strive for wealth. People would live like beasts. The practice of virtue across generations relies on the belief that these efforts are meaningful and rewarding.' ॥ 3-32-26 ॥
english translation
If acts were truly fruitless, it would lead to great confusion- Why, then, do Rishis, gods, Gandharvas, and Rakshasas—all beings beyond human limitations—cherish virtue so deeply?

फलदं तव इह विज्ञाय धातारं शरेयसि धरुवे धर्मं ते हय आचरन कृष्णे तद्धि धर्मसनातनम ॥ ३-३२-२८ ॥
'Understanding that God is the ultimate source of the rewards for virtue, people practice righteousness in this world. This, O Krishna, is the eternal path to prosperity.' ॥ 3-32-28 ॥

स चायं सफलॊ धर्मॊ न धर्मॊ ऽफल उच्यते दृश्यन्ते ऽपि हि विद्यानां फलानि तपसां तथा ॥ ३-३२-२९ ॥
'This dharma (duty/righteousness) is indeed fruitful, Dharma is not said to be fruitless. The fruits of knowledge are indeed seen, As are the fruits of austerities.' ॥ 3-32-29 ॥

तवय्य एतद वै विजानीहि जन्म कृष्णे यथा शरुतम वेत्थ चापि यथा जातॊ धृष्टद्युम्नः परतापवान ॥ ३-३२-३० ॥
'Recall, O Krishna, the circumstances of your own birth as you have heard them, and also remember how Dhrishtadyumna, of great prowess, was born.' ॥ 3-32-30 ॥
