विशालं पृथिवी राज्यं कषेमं निहतकण्टकम परतिगृह्णीष्व मत्तस तवं साधु बराह्मणपुंगव ॥ ३-२९४-११ ॥
'O noble brahmin, please accept from me this vast earthly realm - a kingdom that is now secure and completely purged of all enemies and obstacles.' ॥ 3-294-11 ॥
english translation
कुण्डलाभ्यां विमुक्तॊ ऽहं वर्मणा सहजेन च गमनीयॊ भविष्यामि शत्रूणां दविजसत्तम ॥ ३-२९४-१२ ॥
'O foremost of the regenerate, if deprived of my earrings and the armor born with my body, I shall become vulnerable to defeat by my enemies.' ॥ 3-294-12 ॥
english translation
[वै] यदा नान्यं वरं वव्रे भगवान पाकशासनः ततः परहस्य कर्णस तं पुनर इत्य अब्रवीद वचः ॥ ३-२९४-१३ ॥
'Vaisampāyana continued: When the illustrious slayer of Paka sought no other boon, Kama, smiling, addressed him once again, saying.' ॥ 3-294-13 ॥
english translation
विदितॊ देवदेवेश पराग एवासि मम परभॊ न तु नयाय्यं मया दातुं तव शक्र वृथा वरम ॥ ३-२९४-१४ ॥
'O god of gods, I have long recognized thee, O Lord! O Sakra, it is not proper for me to grant thee any boon that lacks true benefit, for thou art the sovereign of the celestials!' ॥ 3-294-14 ॥
english translation
तवं हि देवेश्वरः साक्षात तवया देयॊ वरॊ मम अन्येषां चैव भूतानाम ईश्वरॊ हय असि भूतकृत ॥ ३-२९४-१५ ।
'You are verily the supreme Lord of the gods manifest before me. I seek a boon from you, for you are not only the ruler of all other beings but also the very creator of all existence.' ॥ 3-294-15 ॥
