अहं तु राज्ञः सुरथस्य पुत्रॊ; यं कॊटिकाश्येति विदुर मनुष्याः असौ तु यस तिष्ठति काञ्चनाङ्गे; रथे हुतॊ ऽगनिश चयने यथैव तरिगर्तराजः कमलायताक्षि; कषेमंकरॊ नाम स एष वीरः ॥ ३-२४९-६ ॥
'As for us, I am the son of King Suratha, known among men as Kotika. And that valiant warrior, with eyes as broad as lotus petals, Seated upon a golden chariot like the sacred fire on the altar, Is Kṣemankara, the mighty king of Trigarta.' ॥ 3-249-6 ॥

अस्मात परस तव एष महाधनुष्मान; पुत्रः कुणिन्दाधिपतेर वरिष्ठः निरीक्षते तवां विपुलायतांसः; सुविस्मितः पर्वतवासनित्यः ॥ ३-२४९-७ ॥
'And behind him stands the renowned son of the king of the Kuṇindas, Who even now gazes upon you with wonder. Armed with a mighty bow, broad-eyed, and adorned with floral wreaths, He dwells ever amidst the mountain peaks.' ॥ 3-249-7 ॥

असौ तु यः पुष्करिणी समीपे; शयामॊ युवा तिष्ठति दर्शनीयः इक्ष्वाकुराज्ञः सुबलस्य पुत्रः; स एष हन्ता दविषतां सुगात्रि ॥ ३-२४९-८ ॥
'The dark and handsome young man, standing by the edge of that lake, Is the valiant son of Suvala, of the Ikshvaku lineage— A scourge to his enemies.' ॥ 3-249-8 ॥

यस्यानुयात्रं धवजिनः परयान्ति; सौवीरका दवादश राजपुत्राः शॊणाश्वयुक्तेषु रथेषु सर्वे; मखेषु दीप्ता इव हव्यवाहाः ॥ ३-२४९-९ ॥
'In whose train (or following) travel the flag-bearers, Along with twelve royal princes from Sauvira, All mounted on chariots drawn by red horses, Blazing like sacred fires in sacrificial rituals.' ॥ 3-249-9 ॥

अङ्गारकः कुञ्जरगुप्तकश च; शत्रुंजयः संजय सुप्रवृद्धौ परभंकरॊ ऽथ भरमरॊ रविश च; शूरः परतापः कुहरश च नाम ॥ ३-२४९-१० ॥
'He is followed by twelve valiant princes of the Sauvīras, Bearing his standard—Aṅgāraka, Kuñjara, Guptaka, Śatruñjaya, Śṛñjaya, Suprabiddha, and Prabhāṅkara, Along with Bhramara, Ravi, Sura, Pratāpa, and Kuhana.' ॥ 3-249-10 ॥
