सेयं दानकृता वयुष्टिर अत्र पराप्ता सुखावहा तां भुङ्क्ष्व सुकृतैर लब्धां तपसा दयॊतितप्रभः ॥ ३-२४७-२६ ॥
'You too have easily attained this success through your charities. Now, by the radiance of your ascetic austerities, enjoy that state which has been earned through your virtuous deeds.' ॥ 3-247-26 ॥
english translation
seyaM dAnakRtA vayuSTira atra parAptA sukhAvahA tAM bhuGkSva sukRtaira labdhAM tapasA dayòtitaprabhaH ॥ 3-247-26 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतत सवर्गसुखं विप्र लॊका नानाविधास तथा गुणाः सवर्गस्य परॊक्तास ते दॊषान अपि निबॊध मे ॥ ३-२४७-२७ ॥
'Such, O Brahmana, is the bliss of heaven, which encompasses various realms. Thus, I have described to you the blessings of the celestial realms. Now, listen as I explain some of their disadvantages.' ॥ 3-247-27 ॥
english translation
etata savargasukhaM vipra lòkA nAnAvidhAsa tathA guNAH savargasya paròktAsa te dòSAna api nibòdha me ॥ 3-247-27 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकृतस्य कर्मणस तत्र भुज्यते यत फलं दिवि न चान्यत करियते कर्म मूलछेदेन भुज्यते ॥ ३-२४७-२८ ॥
'In the celestial regions, a person, while enjoying the fruits of their past actions, cannot engage in new deeds. They must experience the consequences of their past deeds until they are fully exhausted.' ॥ 3-247-28 ॥
english translation
kRtasya karmaNasa tatra bhujyate yata phalaM divi na cAnyata kariyate karma mUlachedena bhujyate ॥ 3-247-28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसॊ ऽतर दॊषॊ मम मतस तस्यान्ते पतनं च यत सुखव्याप्त मनस्कानां पतनं यच च मुद्गल ॥ ३-२४७-२९ ॥
'These, in my opinion, are the disadvantages of heaven. The fall of a person whose mind has been immersed in happiness must, O Mudgala, be considered a flaw.' ॥ 3-247-29 ॥

sò 'tara dòSò mama matasa tasyAnte patanaM ca yata sukhavyApta manaskAnAM patanaM yaca ca mudgala ॥ 3-247-29 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअसंतॊषः परीतापॊ दृष्ट्वा दीप्ततराः शरियः यद भवत्य अवरे सथाने सथितानां तच च दुष्करम ॥ ३-२४७-३० ॥
'The discontent and regret that follow when one must dwell in a lower realm after having enjoyed more auspicious and radiant regions will indeed be difficult to endure.' ॥ 3-247-30 ॥

asaMtòSaH parItApò dRSTvA dIptatarAH zariyaH yada bhavatya avare sathAne sathitAnAM taca ca duSkarama ॥ 3-247-30 ॥
