न वर्तयन्त्य आहुतिभिस ते नाप्य अमृतभॊजनाः तथा दिव्यशरीरास ते न च विग्रहमूर्तयः ॥ ३-२४७-२१ ॥
'The Ribhus do not subsist on oblations, nor on ambrosia. They are endowed with such celestial forms that they cannot be perceived by the senses.' ॥ 3-247-21 ॥
english translation
न शुखे सुखकामाश च देवदेवाः सनातनाः न कल्पपरिवर्तेषु परिवर्तन्ति ते तथा ॥ ३-२४७-२२ ॥
'And these eternal gods of the celestials do not seek happiness for its own sake, nor do they undergo change at the revolution of a Kalpa.' ॥ 3-247-22 ॥
english translation
जरामृत्युः कुतस तेषां हर्षः परीतिः सुखं न च न दुःखं न सुखं चापि रागद्वेषौ कुतॊ मुने ॥ ३-२४७-२३ ॥
'Where, indeed, is their old age or dissolution? For them, there is neither ecstasy, nor joy, nor sorrow. They experience neither happiness nor misery. So, O Muni, where then could there be anger or aversion?' ॥ 3-247-23 ॥
english translation
देवानाम अपि मौद्गल्य काङ्क्षिता सा गतिः परा दुष्प्रापा परमा सिद्धिर अगम्या कामगॊचरैः ॥ ३-२४७-२४ ॥
'O Mudgala, their supreme state is desired even by the gods. That ultimate liberation, difficult to attain, can never be achieved by those who are governed by desire' ॥ 3-247-24 ॥
english translation
तरयस्त्रिंशद इमे लॊकाः शेषा लॊका मनीषिभिः गम्यन्ते नियमैः शरेष्ठैर दानैर वा विधिपूर्वकैः ॥ ३-२४७-२५ ॥
'The number of these deities is thirty-three. To their realms, wise men repair after observing excellent vows or bestowing gifts in accordance with the prescribed ordinances.' ॥ 3-247-25 ॥
