संज्ञा मॊहश च पततां रजसा च परधर्षणम परम्लानेषु च माल्येषु ततः पिपतिषॊर भयम ॥ ३-२४७-३१ ॥
'And the consciousness of those who are about to fall becomes clouded, agitated by emotions. As the garlands of those on the verge of falling wither, fear invades their hearts.' ॥ 3-247-31 ॥
english translation
saMjJA mòhaza ca patatAM rajasA ca paradharSaNama paramlAneSu ca mAlyeSu tataH pipatiSòra bhayama ॥ 3-247-31 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआ बरह्मभवनाद एते दॊषा मौद्गल्य दारुणाः नाकलॊके सुकृतिनां गुणास तव अयुतशॊ नृणाम ॥ ३-२४७-३२ ॥
'These significant drawbacks, O Mudgala, extend even to the regions of Brahma. In the celestial realms, the virtues of those who have performed righteous acts are countless.' ॥ 3-247-32 ॥
english translation
A barahmabhavanAda ete dòSA maudgalya dAruNAH nAkalòke sukRtinAM guNAsa tava ayutazò nRNAma ॥ 3-247-32 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअयं तव अन्यॊ गुनः शरेष्ठश चयुतानां सवर्गतॊ मुने शुभानुशय यॊगेन मनुष्येषूपजायते ॥ ३-२४७-३३ ॥
'And, O Muni, this is another attribute of the fallen: by virtue of their merits, they take birth among humans. And then, through their righteous deeds, they attain high fortune and happiness.' ॥ 3-247-33 ॥
english translation
ayaM tava anyò gunaH zareSThaza cayutAnAM savargatò mune zubhAnuzaya yògena manuSyeSUpajAyate ॥ 3-247-33 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत्रापि सुमहाभागः सुखभाड अभिजायते न चेत संबुध्यते तत्र गच्छत्य अधमतां ततः ॥ ३-२४७-३४ ॥
'However, if one fails to acquire knowledge in this life, they are born into an inferior state.' ॥ 3-247-34 ॥
english translation
tatrApi sumahAbhAgaH sukhabhADa abhijAyate na ceta saMbudhyate tatra gacchatya adhamatAM tataH ॥ 3-247-34 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइह यत करियते कर्म तत्परत्रॊपभुज्यते कर्मभूमिर इयं बरह्मन फलभूमिर असौ मता ॥ ३-२४७-३५ ॥
'Whatever action is performed here, its results are enjoyed in the next world. This world, O Brahmana, is considered the field of action, and the other world is the field of its fruits.' ॥ 3-247-35 ॥

iha yata kariyate karma tatparatròpabhujyate karmabhUmira iyaM barahmana phalabhUmira asau matA ॥ 3-247-35 ॥
