'The air is filled with enchanting fragrances, the breezes are soothing to the touch, and every sound is a melody that captivates both the ear and the heart, O sage.' ॥ 3-247-11 ॥

zabdAH zarutimanògrAhyAH sarvatasa tatra vai mune na zòkò na jarA tatra nAyAsa paridevane ॥ 3-247-11 ॥

ईदृशः स मुने लॊकः सवकर्मफलहेतुकः सुकृतैस तत्र पुरुषाः संभवन्त्य आत्मकर्मभिः ॥ ३-२४७-१२ ॥

'And there, O Muni, neither grief nor old age, nor toil nor regret exists. That realm, attained as the result of one's own deeds, is of such a divine and blissful nature.' ॥ 3-247-12 ॥

IdRzaH sa mune lòkaH savakarmaphalahetukaH sukRtaisa tatra puruSAH saMbhavantya AtmakarmabhiH ॥ 3-247-12 ॥

तैजसानि शरीराणि भवन्त्य अत्रॊपपद्यताम कर्मजान्य एव मौद्गल्य न मातृपितृजान्य उत ॥ ३-२४७-१३ ॥

'People ascend to that realm solely through the merit of their righteous deeds. O Mudgala, those who dwell there shine with radiant splendor, their brilliance born entirely of their own virtues—not from the merits of their father or mother.' ॥ 3-247-13 ॥

taijasAni zarIrANi bhavantya atròpapadyatAma karmajAnya eva maudgalya na mAtRpitRjAnya uta ॥ 3-247-13 ॥

न च सवेदॊ न दौर्गन्ध्यं पुरीषं मूत्रम एव च तेषां न च रजॊ वस्त्रं बाधते तत्र वै मुने ॥ ३-२४७-१४ ॥

'And there, O Muni, neither sweat nor foul odor nor waste exists. Nor does dust ever soil one's garments in that celestial realm.' ॥ 3-247-14 ॥

na ca savedò na daurgandhyaM purISaM mUtrama eva ca teSAM na ca rajò vastraM bAdhate tatra vai mune ॥ 3-247-14 ॥

न मलायन्ति सरजस तेषां दिव्यगन्धा मनॊरमाः पर्युह्यन्ते विमानैश च बरह्मन्न एवंविधाश च ते ॥ ३-२४७-१५ ॥

'Their exquisite garlands, imbued with divine fragrance, never fade. O Brahmana, they ride celestial chariots like the one I have brought.' ॥ 3-247-15 ॥

na malAyanti sarajasa teSAM divyagandhA manòramAH paryuhyante vimAnaiza ca barahmanna evaMvidhAza ca te ॥ 3-247-15 ॥
