तैजसानि शरीराणि भवन्त्य अत्रॊपपद्यताम कर्मजान्य एव मौद्गल्य न मातृपितृजान्य उत ।। ३-२४७-१३ ।।

sanskrit

'People ascend to that realm solely through the merit of their righteous deeds. O Mudgala, those who dwell there shine with radiant splendor, their brilliance born entirely of their own virtues—not from the merits of their father or mother.' ।। 3-247-13 ।।

english translation

taijasAni zarIrANi bhavantya atròpapadyatAma karmajAnya eva maudgalya na mAtRpitRjAnya uta || 3-247-13 ||
