परबॊद्यते मागध सूत पूगैर; नित्यं सतुवद्भिः सवयम इन्द्रकल्पः पतत्रिसंघैः स जघन्यरात्रे; परबॊध्यते नूनम इडा तलस्थः ॥ ३-२२५-१० ॥
'Alas, once awakened every morning by the praises of the Sutas, Magadhas, and other singers, melodiously recited in his honor, that prince of the Kuru race, equal to Indra himself, is now roused from the bare ground in the small hours of the night by a multitude of birds!' ॥ 3-225-10 ॥
