एतत ते परथमं देवख्यातं कर्म भविष्यति तरिषु लॊकेषु कीर्तिश च तवाक्षय्या भविष्यति वशगाश च भविष्यन्ति सुरास तव सुरात्मज ॥ ३-२२१-७६ ॥
'O mighty being, thou art invincible in battle, like the lord of Uma; and this victory shall be hailed as thy first great feat, with thy fame remaining undying throughout the three worlds.' ॥ 3-221-76 ॥
english translation
महासेनेत्य एवम उक्त्वा निवृत्तः सह दैवतैः अनुज्ञातॊ भगवता तयम्बकेन शचीपतिः ॥ ३-२२१-७७ ॥
'Having spoken thus to Mahasena, the husband of Sachi (Indra) left the place, accompanied by the gods, with the permission of the adorable three-eyed god (Shiva).' ॥ 3-221-77 ॥
english translation
गतॊ भद्र वटं रुद्रॊ निवृत्ताश च दिवौकसः उक्ताश च देवा रुद्रेण सकन्दं पश्यत माम इव ॥ ३-२२१-७८ ॥
'Rudra then returned to Bhadravata, and the celestials too returned to their respective abodes. And Rudra spoke, addressing the gods, 'Ye must render allegiance to Skanda just as ye do unto me.'' ॥ 3-221-78 ॥
english translation
स हत्वा दानव गणान पूज्यमानॊ महर्षिभिः एकाह्नैवाजयत सर्वं तरैलॊक्यं वह्निनन्दनः ॥ ३-२२१-७९ ॥
'And that son of the Fire-god, having slain the Danavas, conquered the three worlds in a single day, and was worshipped by the great Rishis.' ॥ 3-221-79 ॥
english translation
सकन्दस्य य इदं जन्म पठते सुसमाहितः स पुष्टिम इह संप्राप्य सकन्द सालॊक्यताम इयात ॥ ३-२२१-८० ॥
'The Brahmana who, with due attention, reads this account of the birth of Skanda will attain great prosperity in this world and the companionship of Skanda in the hereafter.' ॥ 3-221-80 ॥
