'His head, as massive as a hill, fell and blocked the entrance to the land of the Northern Kurus, stretching sixteen Yojanas in length. However, in the present day, the people of that land pass freely through this gate.' ॥ 3-221-66 ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptकषिप्ताक्षिप्ता तु सा शक्तिर हत्वा शत्रून सहस्रशः सकन्द हस्तम अनुप्राप्ता दृश्यते देवदानवैः ॥ ३-२२१-६७ ॥
'It was observed by both the gods and the Danavas that Skanda repeatedly hurled his sakti on the battlefield, and after slaying thousands of the enemy, it returned to his hands.' ॥ 3-221-67 ॥

kaSiptAkSiptA tu sA zaktira hatvA zatrUna sahasrazaH sakanda hastama anuprAptA dRzyate devadAnavaiH ॥ 3-221-67 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपरायॊ शरैर विनिहता महासेनेन धीमता शेषा दैत्य गणा घॊरा भीतास तरस्ता दुरासदैः सकन्दस्य पार्षदैर हत्वा भक्षिताः शतसंघशः ॥ ३-२२१-६८ ॥
'The terrible Danavas fell in large numbers by the arrows of the wise Mahasena. Panic overtook them, and the followers of Skanda began to slay them by the thousands, devouring their flesh and drinking their blood.' ॥ 3-221-68 ॥

parAyò zaraira vinihatA mahAsenena dhImatA zeSA daitya gaNA ghòrA bhItAsa tarastA durAsadaiH sakandasya pArSadaira hatvA bhakSitAH zatasaMghazaH ॥ 3-221-68 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदानवान भक्षयन्तस ते परपिबन्तश च शॊणितम कषणान निर्दानवं सर्वम अकार्षुर भृशहर्षिताः ॥ ३-२२१-६९ ॥
'Devouring the demons and drinking their blood, they (the warriors/fighters) made everything demon-free in a moment, being greatly elated/excited.' ॥ 3-221-69 ॥

dAnavAna bhakSayantasa te parapibantaza ca zòNitama kaSaNAna nirdAnavaM sarvama akArSura bhRzaharSitAH ॥ 3-221-69 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतमांसीव यथा सूर्यॊ वृक्षान अग्निर घनान खगः तथा सकन्दॊ ऽजयच छत्रून सवेन वीर्येण कीर्तिमान ॥ ३-२२१-७० ॥
'In no time, they joyously exterminated the Danavas, just as the sun dispels darkness, fire consumes a forest, or the winds scatter the clouds. And in this manner the famous Skanda defeated all his enemies.' ॥ 3-221-70 ॥
