परायॊ शरैर विनिहता महासेनेन धीमता शेषा दैत्य गणा घॊरा भीतास तरस्ता दुरासदैः सकन्दस्य पार्षदैर हत्वा भक्षिताः शतसंघशः ।। ३-२२१-६८ ।।

'The terrible Danavas fell in large numbers by the arrows of the wise Mahasena. Panic overtook them, and the followers of Skanda began to slay them by the thousands, devouring their flesh and drinking their blood.' ।। 3-221-68 ।।

english translation

parAyò zaraira vinihatA mahAsenena dhImatA zeSA daitya gaNA ghòrA bhItAsa tarastA durAsadaiH sakandasya pArSadaira hatvA bhakSitAH zatasaMghazaH || 3-221-68 ||
