कद्रूः सूक्ष्मवपुर भूत्वा गर्भिणीं परविशेद यदा भुङ्क्ते सा तत्र तं गर्भं सा तु नागं परसूयते ॥ ३-२१९-३६ ॥
'Kadru, in a subtle form, enters the body of a pregnant woman, where she causes the destruction of the fetus, leading the mother to give birth to a Naga (serpent).' ॥ 3-219-36 ॥
english translation
kadrUH sUkSmavapura bhUtvA garbhiNIM paravizeda yadA bhuGkte sA tatra taM garbhaM sA tu nAgaM parasUyate ॥ 3-219-36 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptगन्धर्वाणां तु या माता सा गर्भं गृह्य गच्छति ततॊ विलीन गर्भा सा मानुषी भुवि दृश्यते ॥ ३-२१९-३७ ॥
'The mother of the Gandharvas takes away the fetus, causing conception in women to result in abortion.' ॥ 3-219-37 ॥
english translation
gandharvANAM tu yA mAtA sA garbhaM gRhya gacchati tatò vilIna garbhA sA mAnuSI bhuvi dRzyate ॥ 3-219-37 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptया जनित्री तव अप्सरसां गर्भम आस्ते परगृह्य सा उपविष्टं ततॊ गर्भं कथयन्ति मनीषिणः ॥ ३-२१९-३८ ॥
'Similarly, the mother of the Apsaras removes the fetus from the womb, and for this reason, such conceptions are considered stagnant by the learned.' ॥ 3-219-38 ॥
english translation
yA janitrI tava apsarasAM garbhama Aste paragRhya sA upaviSTaM tatò garbhaM kathayanti manISiNaH ॥ 3-219-38 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलॊहितस्यॊदधेः कन्या धात्री सकन्दस्य सा समृता लॊहितायनिर इत्य एवं कदम्बे सा हि पूज्यते ॥ ३-२१९-३९ ॥
'The daughter of the divinity of the Red Sea, who nursed Skanda, is worshipped under the name of Lohitayani, particularly at the Kadamba trees.' ॥ 3-219-39 ॥

lòhitasyòdadheH kanyA dhAtrI sakandasya sA samRtA lòhitAyanira itya evaM kadambe sA hi pUjyate ॥ 3-219-39 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुरुषेषु यथा रुद्रस तथार्या परमदास्व अपि आर्या माता कुमारस्य पृथक कामार्थम इज्यते ॥ ३-२१९-४० ॥
'The noble one plays the same role among women as Rudra does among men. She is the mother of all children and is distinctly worshipped for their welfare.' ॥ 3-219-40 ॥
