एवम एते कुमाराणां मया परॊक्ता महाग्रहाः यावत षॊडशवर्षाणि अशिवास ते शिवास ततः ॥ ३-२१९-४१ ॥
'These are the evil spirits that preside over the destinies of young children. Until they reach their sixteenth year, these spirits exert their influence for evil, but after that, they turn to act for good.' ॥ 3-219-41 ॥
english translation
ये च मातृगणाः परॊक्ताः पुरुषाश चैव ये गरहाः सर्वे सकन्दग्रहा नाम जञेया नित्यं शरीरिभिः ॥ ३-२१९-४२ ॥
'Those groups of mothers and persons and grahas (celestial entities) that were previously mentioned, All are known as Skandagrahas (entities associated with Skanda/Kartikeya), They should always be recognized by embodied beings.' ॥ 3-219-42 ॥

तेषां परशमनं कार्यं सनानं धूपम अथाञ्जनम बलिकर्मॊपहारश च सकन्दस्येज्या विशेषतः ॥ ३-२१९-४३ ॥
'They are propitiated with burnt offerings, ablutions, unguents, sacrifices, and other offerings, especially through the worship of Skanda.' ॥ 3-219-43 ॥

एवम एते ऽरचिताः सर्वे परयच्छन्ति शुभं नृणाम आयुर वीर्यं च राजेन्द्र सम्यक पूजा नमस्कृताः ॥ ३-२१९-४४ ॥
'And, O king, when they are honored and worshipped with due reverence, they bestow on men all that is beneficial for them, including valor and long life.' ॥ 3-219-44 ॥

ऊर्ध्वं तु षॊडशाद वर्षाद ये भवन्ति गरहा नृणाम तान अहं संप्रवक्ष्यामि नमस्कृत्य महेश्वरम ॥ ३-२१९-४५ ॥
'Now, having bowed down to Maheswara, I shall describe the nature of those spirits who influence the destinies of men after they have reached their sixteenth year.' ॥ 3-219-45 ॥
