'The daughter of the divinity of the Red Sea, who nursed Skanda, is worshipped under the name of Lohitayani, particularly at the Kadamba trees.' ।। 3-219-39 ।।

lòhitasyòdadheH kanyA dhAtrI sakandasya sA samRtA lòhitAyanira itya evaM kadambe sA hi pUjyate || 3-219-39 ||
