षड्भिर एव तदा जातम आहुस तद वनवासिनः सप्तर्षीन आह च सवाहा मम पुत्रॊ ऽयम इत्य उत अहं जाने नैतद एवम इति राजन पुनः पुनः ॥ ३-२१५-६ ॥
'This decision was taken after all the inhabitants of the forest protested, asserting that these six wives had been responsible for the birth of the child. Swaha, too, O king, repeatedly addressed the seven Rishis, saying, 'O ascetics, this child is mine; your wives are not his mother.'' ॥ 3-215-6 ॥

विश्वामित्रस तु कृत्वेष्टिं सप्तर्षीणां महामुनिः पावकं कामसंतप्तम अदृष्टः पृष्ठतॊ ऽनवगात तत तेन निखिलं सर्वम अवबुद्धं यथातथम ॥ ३-२१५-७ ॥
'After the conclusion of the sacrifices of the seven Rishis, the great sage Vishwamitra, unseen, followed the god of fire, Agni, who was tormented by desire. Thus, he came to know everything as it unfolded.' ॥ 3-215-7 ॥

विश्वामित्रस तु परथमं कुमारं शरणं गतः सतवं दिव्यं संप्रचक्रे महासेनस्य चापि सः ॥ ३-२१५-८ ॥
'Being the first to seek the protection of Mahasena, Vishwamitra offered divine prayers to him.' ॥ 3-215-8 ॥

मङ्गलानि च सर्वाणि कौमाराणि तरयॊदश जातकर्मादिकास तस्य करियाश चक्रे महामुनिः ॥ ३-२१५-९ ॥
'He also performed all the thirteen auspicious rites related to childhood, such as the natal and other ceremonies, for the child with great reverence.' ॥ 3-215-9 ॥

षड वक्त्रस्य तु माहात्म्यं कुक्कुटस्य च साधनम शक्त्या देव्याः साधनं च तथा पारिषदाम अपि ॥ ३-२१५-१० ॥
'For the welfare of the world, he proclaimed the virtues of the six-faced Skanda and conducted ceremonies in honor of the rooster, the goddess Shakti, and the first devotees of Skanda.' ॥ 3-215-10 ॥
