विश्वामित्रश चकारैतत कर्म लॊकहिताय वै तस्माद ऋषिः कुमारस्य विश्वामित्राभवत परियः ॥ ३-२१५-११ ॥
'Vishwamitra performed this act for the welfare of the world. Therefore, the sage became dear to the young prince.' ॥ 3-215-11 ॥
english translation
अन्वजानाच च सवाहाया रूपान्यत्वं महामुनिः अब्रवीच च मुनी सर्वान नापराध्यन्ति वै सत्रियः शरुत्वा तु तत्त्वतस तस्मात ते पत्नीः सर्वतॊ ऽतयजन ॥ ३-२१५-१२ ॥
'That great Muni then informed the seven Rishis of Swaha's transformations and assured them that their wives were perfectly innocent. However, despite this explanation, the seven Rishis unconditionally abandoned their spouses.' ॥ 3-215-12 ॥
english translation
सकन्दं शरुत्वा ततॊ देवा वासवं सहिताब्रुवन अविषह्य बलं सकन्दं जहि शक्राशु माचिरम ॥ ३-२१५-१३ ॥
'Markandeya continued, 'Having heard of Skanda's prowess, the celestials addressed Vasava, saying, 'O Sakra, do slay Skanda without delay, for his strength is intolerable.'' ॥ 3-215-13 ॥
english translation
यदि वा न निहन्स्य एनम अद्येन्द्रॊ ऽयं भविष्यति तरैलॊक्यं संनिगृह्यास्मांस तवां च शक्र महाबलः ॥ ३-२१५-१४ ॥
'And if you do not destroy him, he will conquer the three worlds along with us, and, overpowering you, will become the mighty lord of the celestials himself.' ॥ 3-215-14 ॥
english translation
स तान उवाच वयथितॊ बालॊ ऽयं सुमहाबलः सरष्टारम अपि लॊकानां युधि विक्रम्य नाशयेत ॥ ३-२१५-१५ ॥
'This child is endowed with great prowess. He can, in battle, use his might to destroy even the Creator of the Universe. I therefore do not dare to eliminate him.' ॥ 3-215-15 ॥
