मैथुनायेह संप्राप्ता कामं पराप्तं दरुतं चर मातरॊ मां परतीक्षन्ते गमिष्यामि हुताशन ॥ ३-२१४-६ ॥
'I have come here to fulfill my desire. Be swift, O Agni, in achieving what you desire, for my sisters-in-law are waiting for me. I must return soon.' ॥ 3-214-6 ॥
english translation
maithunAyeha saMprAptA kAmaM parAptaM darutaM cara mAtarò mAM paratIkSante gamiSyAmi hutAzana ॥ 3-214-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript[मार्क] ततॊ ऽगनिर उपयेमे तां शिवां परीतिमुदा युतः परीत्या देवी च संयुक्ता शुक्रं जग्राह पाणिना ॥ ३-२१४-७ ॥
'Markandeya continued, "Then Agni, filled with immense joy and delight, united with Swaha, who had assumed the form of Siva. With great joy, she, in union with him, held the virile seed in her hands."' ॥ 3-214-7 ॥
english translation
[mArka] tatò 'ganira upayeme tAM zivAM parItimudA yutaH parItyA devI ca saMyuktA zukraM jagrAha pANinA ॥ 3-214-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअचिन्तयन ममेदं ये रूपं दरक्ष्यन्ति कानने ते बराह्मणीनाम अनृतं दॊषं वक्ष्यन्ति पावके ॥ ३-२१४-८ ॥
'Then she reflected within herself that those who would observe her in that disguise in the forest might unjustly tarnish the reputation of the Brahmana women in relation to Agni.' ॥ 3-214-8 ॥
english translation
acintayana mamedaM ye rUpaM darakSyanti kAnane te barAhmaNInAma anRtaM dòSaM vakSyanti pAvake ॥ 3-214-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्माद एतद दरक्ष्यमाणा गरुडी संभवाम्य अहम वनान निर्गमनं चैव सुखं मम भविष्यति ॥ ३-२१४-९ ॥
'Therefore, seeing this, I will take the form of a Garuda, and by this transformation, I shall find ease in leaving the forest, and my happiness will be restored.' ॥ 3-214-9 ॥
english translation
tasmAda etada darakSyamANA garuDI saMbhavAmya ahama vanAna nirgamanaM caiva sukhaM mama bhaviSyati ॥ 3-214-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसुपर्णी सा तदा भूत्वा निर्जगाम महावनात अपश्यत पर्वतं शवेतं शरस्तम्बैः सुसंवृतम ॥ ३-२१४-१० ॥
'Markandeya continued, "Then, taking the form of a winged creature, she left the forest and reached the White Mountain. It was surrounded by thick clumps of heath and other vegetation."' ॥ 3-214-10 ॥

suparNI sA tadA bhUtvA nirjagAma mahAvanAta apazyata parvataM zavetaM zarastambaiH susaMvRtama ॥ 3-214-10 ॥
