दवाभ्यां भुजाभ्याम आकाशं बहुशॊ निजघान सः करीडन भाति महासेनस तरीँल लॊकान वदनैः पिबन पर्वताग्रे ऽपरमेयात्मा रश्मिमान उदये यथा ॥ ३-२१४-२६ ॥
'Striking the air with both hands and playing on the hilltop, the mighty Mahasena, unmatched in strength, appeared as though he were about to devour the three worlds. He shone like the Sun rising in the heavens. That being of incredible power and unparalleled strength, seated atop the hill.' ॥ 3-214-26 ॥
english translation
स तस्य पर्वतस्याग्रे निषण्णॊ ऽदभुतविक्रमः वयलॊकयद अमेयात्मा मुखैर नानाविधैर दिशः स पश्यन विविधान भावांश चकार निनदं पुनः ॥ ३-२१४-२७ ॥
'He looked around with his many faces directed towards the different directions. As he observed everything, he let out thunderous roars.' ॥ 3-214-27 ॥
english translation
तस्य तं निनदं शरुत्वा नयपतन बहुधा जनाः भीताश चॊद्विग्न मनसस तम एव शरणं ययुः ॥ ३-२१४-२८ ॥
'Hearing those roars, various creatures fell prostrate in fear. Distressed and terrified, they sought refuge.' ॥ 3-214-28 ॥

ये तु तं संश्रिता देवं नानावर्णास तदा जनाः तान अप्य आहुः पारिषदान बराह्मणाः सुमहाबलान ॥ ३-२१४-२९ ॥
'All those of various orders who sought the protection of that deity at that time are recognized as his powerful Brahmana followers.' ॥ 3-214-29 ॥

स तूत्थाय महाबाहुर उपसान्त्व्य च ताञ जनान धनुर विकृष्य वयसृजद बाणाञ शवेते महागिरौ ॥ ३-२१४-३० ॥
'Rising from his seat, the mighty god assuaged the fears of the people. Then, drawing his bow, he released his arrows towards the White Mountain.' ॥ 3-214-30 ॥
