[वाम] नानुयॊगा बराह्मणानां भवन्ति; वाचा राजन मनसा कर्मणा वा यस तव एवं बरह्म तपसान्वेति; विद्वांस तेन शरेष्ठॊ भवति हि जीवमानः ॥ ३-१९०-६६ ॥
'Then Vamadeva replied, "O king, when thou didst acquire these Vami steeds, thou hadst promised, 'I will return them.' Therefore, return unto me my Vami steeds, that thou mayst secure the safety of thy life."' ॥ 3-190-66 ॥
