[राजा] ये तवा विदुर बराह्मणं वामदेव; वाचा हन्तुं मनसा कर्मणा वा ते तवां सशिष्यम इह पातयन्तु; मद्वाक्यनुन्नाः शितशूलासि हस्ताः ॥ ३-१९०-६५ ॥
'Hearing this, the king said, "Let those who recognize thee, O Vamadeva, as a Brahmana—who, in thought, word, and deed, seek to take life—be struck down at my command. Armed with shining lances and swords, may they, along with thy disciples, fall prostrate before me."' ॥ 3-190-65 ॥
