[वाम] घॊरं वरतं बराह्मणस्यैतद आहुर; एतद राजन यद इहाजीवमानः अयस्मया घॊररूपा महान्तॊ; वहन्तु तवां शितशूलाश चतुर्धा ॥ ३-१९०-६४ ॥
'Vamadeva said: "O king, terrible vows have been ordained for the Brahmanas. If I have lived by their observance, then let four fierce and mighty Rakshasas, with terrible forms and bodies of iron, commanded by me, pursue thee with a desire to slay. Let them carry thee on their sharp lances, having cleaved thy body into four parts."' ॥ 3-190-64 ॥
