स च राजा ताम उपलभ्य तस्यां सुरत गुणनिबद्धहृदयॊ लॊकत्रयैश्वर्यम इवॊपलभ्य हर्षबाष्पकलया वाच परणिपत्याभिपूज्य मण्डूकराजानम अब्रवीत अनुगृहीतॊ ऽसमीति ॥ ३-१९०-४१ ॥
'But having obtained her, the king became deeply enamored of her due to her companionable virtues, and feeling as though he had gained the sovereignty of the three worlds, he bowed down to the king of the frogs, reverenced him in due form, and then, with a voice choked by joy and tears, said: 'I have indeed been favored!'' ॥ 3-190-41 ॥

स च मण्डूकराजॊ जामातरम अनुज्ञाप्य यथागतम अगच्छत ॥ ३-१९०-४२ ॥
'The king of the frogs, having obtained his daughter's leave, returned to his original place.' ॥ 3-190-42 ॥

अथ कस्य चित कालस्य तस्यां कुमारास तरयस तस्य राज्ञः संबभूवुः शलॊ दलॊ बलश चेति ततस तेषां जयेष्ठं शलं समये पिता राज्ये ऽभिषिच्य तपसि धृतात्मा वनं जगाम ॥ ३-१९०-४३ ॥
'After some time, the king begot three sons by her, named Sala, Dala, and Vala. Later, the father, installing the eldest of them on the throne and dedicating himself to asceticism, retired into the forest.' ॥ 3-190-43 ॥

अथ कदा चिच छिलॊ मृगयाम अचरत मृगं चासाद्य रथेनान्वधावत ॥ ३-१९०-४४ ॥
'One day, while out hunting, Sala beheld a deer and pursued it in his chariot. The prince then said to his charioteer:' ॥ 3-190-44 ॥
