अधर्मपादविद्धस तु तरिभिर अंशैः परतिष्ठितः तरेतायां दवापरे ऽरधेन वयामिश्रॊ धर्म उच्यते ॥ ३-१८८-११ ॥
'In the Treta age, sin took away one of the legs of righteousness, and morality stood with three legs. In the Dvapara Yuga, sin and morality are mixed in equal measure, and thus morality is said to have only two legs.' ॥ 3-188-11 ॥

तरिभिर अंशैर अधर्मस तु लॊकान आक्रम्य तिष्ठति चतुर्थांशेन धर्मस तु मनुष्यान उपतिष्ठति ॥ ३-१८८-१२ ॥
'In the dark age of Kali, O best of the Bharata race, morality, mixed with three parts of sin, survives alongside men. Accordingly, morality is said to remain with humanity, with only a fourth part of itself intact.' ॥ 3-188-12 ॥

आयुर वीर्यम अथॊ बुद्धिर बलं तेजॊ च पाण्डव मनुष्याणाम अनुयुगं हरसतीति निबॊध मे ॥ ३-१८८-१३ ॥
'Know, O Yudhishthira, that in every Yuga, the lifespan, energy, intellect, and physical strength of men decrease!' ॥ 3-188-13 ॥

राजानॊ बराह्मणा वैश्याः शूद्राश चैव युधिष्ठिर वयाजैर धर्मं चरिष्यन्ति धर्मव्वैतंसिका नराः ॥ ३-१८८-१४ ॥
'O Pandava, in the Kali age, the Brahmanas, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, and Shudras will practice morality and virtue deceitfully, and men in general will deceive their fellows by spreading the net of virtue.' ॥ 3-188-14 ॥

सत्यं संक्षेप्स्यते लॊके नरैः पण्डितमानिभिः सत्यहान्या ततस तेषाम आयुर अल्पं भविष्यति ॥ ३-१८८-१५ ॥
'And men, with false reputations of learning, will, by their actions, cause Truth to be contracted and concealed.' ॥ 3-188-15 ॥
