आयुषः परक्षयाद विद्यां न शक्ष्यन्त्य उपशिक्षितुम विद्या हीनान अविज्ञानाल लॊभॊ ऽपय अभिभविष्यति ॥ ३-१८८-१६ ॥
'And due to the shortness of their lives, they will be unable to acquire much knowledge. And because of the limitedness of their knowledge, they will lack true wisdom.' ॥ 3-188-16 ॥
english translation
लॊभक्रॊधपरा मूढाः कामसक्ताश च मानवाः वैरबद्धा भविष्यन्ति परस्परवधेप्सवः ॥ ३-१८८-१७ ॥
'And for this, covetousness and avarice will overwhelm them all. Wedded to greed, wrath, ignorance, and lust, men will harbor animosities towards one another, desiring to take each other's lives.' ॥ 3-188-17 ॥
english translation
बराह्मणाः कषत्रिया वैश्याः संकीर्यन्तः परस्परम शूद्र तुल्या भविष्यन्ति तपः सत्यविवर्जिताः ॥ ३-१८८-१८ ॥
'And Brahmanas, Kshatriyas, and Vaishyas, with their virtues diminished and divested of asceticism and truth, will all be reduced to an equality with the Shudras.' ॥ 3-188-18 ॥
english translation
अन्त्या मध्या भविष्यन्ति मध्याश चान्तावसायिनः ईदृशॊ भविता लॊकॊ युगान्ते पर्युपस्थिते ॥ ३-१८८-१९ ॥
'And the lowest orders of men will rise to the position of the intermediate ones, while those in intermediate stations will, without doubt, descend to the level of the lowest. Such, O Yudhishthira, will be the state of the world at the end of the Yuga.' ॥ 3-188-19 ॥

वस्त्राणां परवरा शाणी धान्यानां कॊर दूषकाः भार्या मित्राश च पुरुषा भविष्यन्ति युगक्षये ॥ ३-१८८-२० ॥
'In this period, the best robes will be those made of flax, and among grains, Paspalum frumentacea will be regarded as the best. Men will begin to regard their wives as their only friends.' ॥ 3-188-20 ॥
