मत्स्यामिषेण जीवन्तॊ दुहन्तश चाप्य अजैडकम गॊषु नष्टासु पुरुषा भविष्यन्ति युगक्षये ॥ ३-१८८-२१ ॥
'And men will live on fish, milk, goats, and sheep, for cows will be extinct. During that period, even those who are always observant of vows will become covetous.' ॥ 3-188-21 ॥
english translation
अन्यॊन्यं परिमुष्णन्तॊ हिंसयन्तश च मानवाः अजपा नास्तिकाः सतेना भविष्यन्ति युगक्षये ॥ ३-१८८-२२ ॥
'And opposed to one another, men will, at such a time, seek each other's lives; and divested of righteousness, people will become atheists and thieves.' ॥ 3-188-22 ॥
english translation
सरित तीरेषु कुद्दालैर वापयिष्यन्ति चौषधीः ताश चाप्य अल्पफलास तेषां भविष्यन्ति युगक्षये ॥ ३-१८८-२३ ॥
'They will even dig the banks of streams with their spades and sow grains there. Yet, those places will prove barren for them at such a time.' ॥ 3-188-23 ॥
english translation
शराद्धे दैवे च पुरुषा ये च नित्यं धृतव्रताः ते ऽपि लॊभसमायुक्ता भॊक्ष्यन्तीह परस्परम ॥ ३-१८८-२४ ॥
'Men who are devoted to ceremonial rites in honor of the deceased and the gods will become avaricious and will appropriate and enjoy what belongs to others.' ॥ 3-188-24 ॥
english translation
पिता पुत्रस्य भॊक्ता च पितुः पुत्रस तथैव च अतिक्रान्तानि भॊज्यानि भविष्यन्ति युगक्षये ॥ ३-१८८-२५ ॥
'The father will enjoy what belongs to the son, and the son will enjoy what belongs to the father. And during such times, men will also enjoy things that have been forbidden in the scriptures.' ॥ 3-188-25 ॥
