अधर्मपादविद्धस तु तरिभिर अंशैः परतिष्ठितः तरेतायां दवापरे ऽरधेन वयामिश्रॊ धर्म उच्यते ।। ३-१८८-११ ।।

sanskrit

'In the Treta age, sin took away one of the legs of righteousness, and morality stood with three legs. In the Dvapara Yuga, sin and morality are mixed in equal measure, and thus morality is said to have only two legs.' ।। 3-188-11 ।।

english translation

adharmapAdaviddhasa tu taribhira aMzaiH paratiSThitaH taretAyAM davApare 'radhena vayAmizrò dharma ucyate || 3-188-11 ||
