के चिन नीलॊत्पलश्यामाः के चित कुमुदसंनिभाः के चित किञ्जल्कसंकाशाः के चित पीताः पयॊधराः ॥ ३-१८६-६६ ॥

'Some of those clouds are dark as the blue lotus, some pale like water lilies, some tinted like lotus filaments.' ॥ 3-186-66 ॥

के चिद धारिद्र संकाशाः काकाण्डक निभास तथा के चित कमलपत्राभाः केचिद धिङ्गुलक परभाः ॥ ३-१८६-६७ ॥

'Others are purple, golden yellow like turmeric, or black as a crow’s egg. Some shine as brightly as lotus petals, while others are deep red like vermilion.' ॥ 3-186-67 ॥

के चित पुरवराकाराः के चिद गजकुलॊपमाः के चिद अञ्जनसंकाशाः के चिन मकरसंस्थिताः विद्युन्माला पिनद्धाङ्गाः समुत्तिष्ठन्ति वै घनाः ॥ ३-१८६-६८ ॥

'Some clouds take the shape of grand cities, while others resemble herds of elephants. Some appear like lizards, others like crocodiles or sharks. And, O King, these clouds that gather in the sky are terrifying to behold, wreathed in lightning and roaring fearsomely.' ॥ 3-186-68 ॥

ke cita puravarAkArAH ke cida gajakulòpamAH ke cida aJjanasaMkAzAH ke cina makarasaMsthitAH vidyunmAlA pinaddhAGgAH samuttiSThanti vai ghanAH ॥ 3-186-68 ॥

घॊररूपा महाराज घॊरस्वननिनादिताः ततॊ जलधराः सर्वे वयाप्नुवन्ति नभस्तलम ॥ ३-१८६-६९ ॥

'O great king (mahārāja), then all the clouds, terrible in form (ghora-rūpa) and resounding with fearsome thunders (ghora-svana-nināditāḥ), spread across the sky (nabhastalam).' ॥ 3-186-69 ॥

ghòrarUpA mahArAja ghòrasvananinAditAH tatò jaladharAH sarve vayApnuvanti nabhastalama ॥ 3-186-69 ॥

तैर इयं पृथिवी सर्वा सपर्वतवनाकरा आपूर्यते महाराज सलिलौघपरिप्लुता ॥ ३-१८६-७० ॥

'And, O King, these masses of vapor then inundate the Earth, with its mountains, forests, and mines, flooding it with water.' ॥ 3-186-70 ॥
