परं लॊकं गॊप्रदास तव आप्नुवन्ति; दत्त्वानड्वाहं सूर्यलॊकं वरजन्ति वासॊ दत्त्वा चन्द्रमसः स लॊकं; दत्त्वा हिरण्यम अमृतत्वम एति ॥ ३-१८४-८ ॥
'He who donates cows to Brahmanas attains the highest realms, while he who gives bullocks reaches the solar sphere. By offering clothes, one ascends to the lunar world, and through the gift of gold, one attains the state of the Immortals.' ॥ 3-184-8 ॥
