राजन वैन्य तवम ईशश च भुवि तवं परथमॊ नृपः सतुवन्ति तवां मुनिगणास तवद अन्यॊ नास्ति धर्मवित ॥ ३-१८३-११ ॥
'He spoke these words: 'Blessed are you, O King! Ruling over the earth, you are the foremost of sovereigns. The Munis extol you, and there is none besides you so versed in the sacred teachings.'' ॥ 3-183-11 ॥
english translation
तम अब्रवीद ऋषिस तत्र वच करुद्धॊ महातपः मैवम अत्रे पुनर बरूया न ते परज्ञा समाहिता अत्र नः परथमं सथाता महेन्द्रॊ वै परजापतिः ॥ ३-१८३-१२ ॥
'To this, the great ascetic Rishi Gautama indignantly replied, 'Atri, do not repeat such words. It seems you have lost your senses. In this world, Mahendra, the lord of all beings, is the supreme sovereign, and none other can compare.'' ॥ 3-183-12 ॥
english translation
अथात्रिर अपि राजेन्द्र गौतमं परत्यभाषत अयम एव विधाता च यथैवेन्द्रः परजापतिः तवम एव मुह्यसे मॊहान न परज्ञानं तवास्ति ह ॥ ३-१८३-१३ ॥
'Then, O great prince, Atri said to Gautama, 'Just as Indra, the lord of all creatures, governs our destinies, so does this king. You are mistaken. It is you who have lost your senses, blinded by a lack of spiritual insight.'' ॥ 3-183-13 ॥
english translation
[गौतम] जानामि नाहं मुह्यामि तवं विवक्षुर विमुह्यसे सतॊष्यसे ऽभयुदय परेप्सुस तस्य दर्शनसंश्रयात ॥ ३-१८३-१४ ॥
'Gautama replied, 'I know I am not mistaken; it is you who are laboring under a misconception. In this assembly, you are flattering the king to win his favor.'' ॥ 3-183-14 ॥

न वेत्थ परमं धर्मं न चावैषि परयॊजनम बालस तवम असि मूढश च वृद्धः केवापि हेतुना ॥ ३-१८३-१५ ॥
'You do not understand the highest virtue, nor do you feel its importance. You are like a child immersed in ignorance—how then, with all your years, have you not grown wiser?' ॥ 3-183-15 ॥
