ततस तद आज्ञाय मतं महात्मा; यथावद उक्तं पुरुषॊत्तमेन परशस्य विप्रेक्ष्य च धर्मराजः; कृताञ्जलिः केशवम इत्य उवाच ।। ३-१८०-३६ ।।

sanskrit

'Then, understanding that command, the great soul (Krishna), as it was spoken by the supreme person, praised it, and the righteous king, Yudhishthira, with folded hands, spoke to Kesava.' ।। 3-180-36 ।।

english translation

tatasa tada AjJAya mataM mahAtmA; yathAvada uktaM puruSòttamena parazasya viprekSya ca dharmarAjaH; kRtAJjaliH kezavama itya uvAca || 3-180-36 ||

असंशयं केशव पाण्डवानां; भवान गतिस तवच छरणा हि पार्थाः कालॊदये तच च ततश च भूयॊ; कर्ता भवान कर्म न संशयॊ ऽसति ।। ३-१८०-३७ ।।

'O Kesava, without a doubt, you are the refuge of the sons of Pandu, for they are under your protection! When the time comes, there is no doubt that you will accomplish all that you have stated, and even more.' ।। 3-180-37 ।।

asaMzayaM kezava pANDavAnAM; bhavAna gatisa tavaca charaNA hi pArthAH kAlòdaye taca ca tataza ca bhUyò; kartA bhavAna karma na saMzayò 'sati || 3-180-37 ||

'As promised, we have spent all twelve years in the solitary forests. O Kesava, having completed the period of living incognito as prescribed, the sons of Pandu will take refuge in you.' ।। 3-180-38 ।।

'Vaisampayana said, "O descendant of Bharata, while Krishna, the descendant of the Vrishnis, and the virtuous king were thus conversing, the sage Markandeya, aged and renowned for his austere penances, suddenly appeared before them."' ।। 3-180-39 ।।

[vai] tathA vadati vArSNeye dharmarAje va bhArata atha pazcAta patò vRddhò bahuvarSasahasradhRka paratyadRSyata dharmAtmA mArkaNDeyò mahAtapaH || 3-180-39 ||

'The Brahmins, along with Krishna and the Pandavas, reverently greeted the sage Markandeya, who had arrived, aged and having lived for thousands of years, with great respect.' ।। 3-180-40 ।।
