तथा रौद्रास्त्र निष्पिष्टान दिव्याभरणभूषितान निशाम्य परमं हर्षम अगमद देव सारथिः ॥ ३-१७०-५१ ॥
'And seeing those, adorned with celestial ornaments, crushed by the Raudra weapon, the charioteer of the gods was filled with immense joy.' ॥ 3-170-51 ॥
english translation
तद असह्यं कृतं कर्म देवैर अपि दुरासदम दृष्ट्वा मां पूजयाम आस मातलिः शक्रसारथिः ॥ ३-१७०-५२ ॥
'Having witnessed the accomplishment of that feat, which even the celestials could not achieve, Matali, the charioteer of Indra, paid homage to me. Well-pleased, with joined hands, he spoke these words.' ॥ 3-170-52 ॥

उवाच चेदं वचनं परीयमाणः कृताञ्जलिः सुरासुरैर असह्यं हि कर्म यत साधितं तवया न हय एतत संयुगे कर्तुम अपि शक्तः सुरेश्वरः ॥ ३-१७०-५३ ॥
'He said these words: 'The feat you have accomplished is one that even the gods cannot bear. In battle, not even the lord of the celestials could perform such a deed.'' ॥ 3-170-53 ॥

सुरासुरैर अवध्यं हि पुरम एतत खगं महत तवया विमथितं वीर सववीर्यास्त्र तपॊबलात ॥ ३-१७०-५४ ॥
'O hero, you have shattered the mighty, sky-coursing city, which was deemed indestructible by both gods and Asuras, through your own prowess and the power of your asceticism.' ॥ 3-170-54 ॥

विध्वस्ते ऽथ पुरे तस्मिन दानवेषु हतेषु च विनदन्त्यः सत्रियः सर्वा निष्पेतुर नगराद बहिः ॥ ३-१७०-५५ ॥
'When that aerial city was destroyed and the Danavas slain, their wives, with disheveled hair and crying out in distress like Kurari birds, emerged from the city.' ॥ 3-170-55 ॥
