मां च भीर आविशत तीव्रा तस्मिन विगतचेतसि स च मां विगतज्ञानः संत्रस्त इदम अब्रवीत ॥ ३-१६८-१६ ॥
'A fierce fear overcame me as my mind was bewildered, and in his state of confusion and terror, he spoke these words to me.' ॥ 3-168-16 ॥
english translation
सुराणाम असुराणां च संग्रामः सुमहान अभूत अमृतार्थे पुरा पार्थ स च दृष्टॊ मयानघ ॥ ३-१६८-१७ ॥
'O Partha, a mighty conflict had taken place between the gods and the demons for the sake of the nectar of immortality. I, O sinless one, was a witness to that encounter.' ॥ 3-168-17 ॥
english translation
शम्बरस्य वधे चापि संग्रामः सुमहान अभूत सारथ्यं देवराजस्य तत्रापि कृतवान अहम ॥ ३-१६८-१८ ॥
'And when Samvara was destroyed, a terrible and mighty battle ensued. Yet, I served as the charioteer to the lord of the celestials.' ॥ 3-168-18 ॥
english translation
तथैव वृत्रस्य वधे संगृहीता हया मया वैरॊचनेर मया युद्धं दृष्टं चापि सुदारुणम ॥ ३-१६८-१९ ॥
'Similarly, during the slaying of Vritra, I had guided the steeds, and I also witnessed the intense and terrifying battle with the son of Virochana.' ॥ 3-168-19 ॥

एते मया महाघॊराः संग्रामाः पर्युपासिताः न चापि विगतज्ञानॊ भूतपूर्वॊ ऽसमि पाण्डव ॥ ३-१६८-२० ॥
'O Pandava, I was present in the exceedingly dreadful battles with Vala, Prahrada, and others. Yet, O son of Pandu, never before had I lost my senses.' ॥ 3-168-20 ॥
