नन्दनादीनि देवानां वनानि बहुलान्य उत दर्शयाम आस मे परीत्या मातलिः शक्रसारथिः ॥ ३-१६४-४१ ॥
'Matali, the charioteer of Indra (Shakra), gladly showed me the many gardens of the gods, including Nandana and others.' ॥ 3-164-41 ॥
english translation
nandanAdIni devAnAM vanAni bahulAnya uta darzayAma Asa me parItyA mAtaliH zakrasArathiH ॥ 3-164-41 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः शक्रस्य भवनम अपश्यम अमरावतीम दिव्यैः कामफलैर वृक्षै रत्नैश च समलंकृताम ॥ ३-१६४-४२ ॥
'Immediately, Matali, the charioteer of Sakra, guided me through the celestial gardens and groves, including Nandana and others. Then, I beheld Indra's magnificent abode, Amaravati, adorned with jewels and trees bearing every kind of desired fruit.' ॥ 3-164-42 ॥
english translation
tataH zakrasya bhavanama apazyama amarAvatIma divyaiH kAmaphalaira vRkSai ratnaiza ca samalaMkRtAma ॥ 3-164-42 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन तां भासयते सूर्यॊ न शीतॊष्णे न च कलमः रजः पङ्कॊ न च तमस तत्रास्ति न जरा नृप ॥ ३-१६४-४३ ॥
'There, the Sun does not scorch with heat; neither heat, cold, nor fatigue can affect anyone, O King.' ॥ 3-164-43 ॥
english translation
na tAM bhAsayate sUryò na zItòSNe na ca kalamaH rajaH paGkò na ca tamasa tatrAsti na jarA nRpa ॥ 3-164-43 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन तत्र शॊकॊ दैन्यं वा वैवर्ण्यं चॊपलक्ष्यते दिवौकसां महाराज न च गलानिर अरिंदम ॥ ३-१६४-४४ ॥
'And, O great monarch, the celestials are free from sorrow, poverty of spirit, weakness, and weariness, O crusher of enemies.' ॥ 3-164-44 ॥
english translation
na tatra zòkò dainyaM vA vaivarNyaM còpalakSyate divaukasAM mahArAja na ca galAnira ariMdama ॥ 3-164-44 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन करॊधलॊभौ तत्रास्ताम अशुभं च विशां पते नित्यतुष्टाश च हृष्टाश च पराणिनः सुरवेश्मनि ॥ ३-१६४-४५ ॥
'And, O ruler of men, the celestials and others are free from anger and covetousness. In the celestial abodes, O king, the beings are always contented.' ॥ 3-164-45 ॥

na karòdhalòbhau tatrAstAma azubhaM ca vizAM pate nityatuSTAza ca hRSTAza ca parANinaH suravezmani ॥ 3-164-45 ॥
