अवैक्षन्त च मे वक्त्रं सथितस्याथ स सारथिः तथा भरान्ते रथे राजन विस्मितश चेदम अब्रवीत ॥ ३-१६४-३६ ॥
'He said, "Today, this seems strange and unprecedented to me, that while seated in this celestial chariot, you have not been jolted even slightly."' ॥ 3-164-36 ॥
english translation
अत्यद्भुतम इदं मे ऽदय विचित्रं परतिभाति माम यद आस्थितॊ रथं दिव्यं पदा न चलितॊ भवान ॥ ३-१६४-३७ ॥
'This appears extremely wonderful and marvelous to me today, that though you are mounted on this divine chariot, you have not moved a single step.' ॥ 3-164-37 ॥
english translation
देवराजॊ ऽपि हि मया नित्यम अत्रॊपलक्षितः विचलन परथमॊत्पाते हयानां भरतर्षभ ॥ ३-१६४-३८ ॥
'O foremost of the Bharata race, I have always observed that at the first pull of the steeds, even the lord of the celestials himself is jolted.' ॥ 3-164-38 ॥
english translation
तवं पुनः सथित एवात्र रथे भरान्ते कुरूद्वह अतिशक्रम इदं सत्त्वं तवेति परतिभाति मे ॥ ३-१६४-३९ ॥
'Yet, throughout the entire journey, you have remained unshaken. This, to me, seems to surpass even the power of Sakra.' ॥ 3-164-39 ॥
english translation
इत्य उक्त्वाकाशम आविश्य मातलिर विबुधालयान दर्शयाम आस मे राजन विमानानि च भारत ॥ ३-१६४-४० ॥
'Having said this, O Bharata, Matali ascended into the sky and showed me the abodes and palaces of the celestials.' ॥ 3-164-40 ॥
