[अर्ज] एवम उक्त्वा तु मां शक्रस तत्रैवान्तरधीयत अथापश्यं हरि युजं रथम ऐन्द्रम उपस्थितम दिव्यं मायामयं पुण्यं यत्तं मातलिना नृप ।। ३-१६४-३१ ।।

sanskrit

'Having spoken these words to me, Sakra vanished from sight. Then, O king, I beheld the wondrous and sacred celestial chariot, yoked with steeds, arriving, guided by Matali.' ।। 3-164-31 ।।

english translation

[arja] evama uktvA tu mAM zakrasa tatraivAntaradhIyata athApazyaM hari yujaM rathama aindrama upasthitama divyaM mAyAmayaM puNyaM yattaM mAtalinA nRpa || 3-164-31 ||

चॊदयाम आस सहयान मनॊमारुतरंहसः मातलिर हयशास्त्रज्ञॊ यथावद भूरिदक्षिणः ।। ३-१६४-३५ ।।

'Then, the exceedingly generous Matali, versed in the lore of horses, drove the steeds, swift as thought or the wind. As the chariot began to move, the charioteer, observing my steady composure, marveled at it.' ।। 3-164-35 ।।

còdayAma Asa sahayAna manòmArutaraMhasaH mAtalira hayazAstrajJò yathAvada bhUridakSiNaH || 3-164-35 ||
