[अर्ज] एवम उक्त्वा तु मां शक्रस तत्रैवान्तरधीयत अथापश्यं हरि युजं रथम ऐन्द्रम उपस्थितम दिव्यं मायामयं पुण्यं यत्तं मातलिना नृप ॥ ३-१६४-३१ ॥
'Having spoken these words to me, Sakra vanished from sight. Then, O king, I beheld the wondrous and sacred celestial chariot, yoked with steeds, arriving, guided by Matali.' ॥ 3-164-31 ॥
english translation
[arja] evama uktvA tu mAM zakrasa tatraivAntaradhIyata athApazyaM hari yujaM rathama aindrama upasthitama divyaM mAyAmayaM puNyaM yattaM mAtalinA nRpa ॥ 3-164-31 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलॊकपालेषु यातेषु माम उवाचाथ मातलिः दरष्टुम इच्छति शक्रस तवां देवराजॊ महाद्युते ॥ ३-१६४-३२ ॥
'When the Lokapalas had departed, Matali said to me, 'O one of mighty splendour, the lord of the celestials desires to see you.'' ॥ 3-164-32 ॥
english translation
lòkapAleSu yAteSu mAma uvAcAtha mAtaliH daraSTuma icchati zakrasa tavAM devarAjò mahAdyute ॥ 3-164-32 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसंसिद्धस तवं महाबाहॊ कुरु कार्यम अनुत्तमम पश्य पुण्यकृतां लॊकान सशरीरॊ दिवं वरज ॥ ३-१६४-३३ ॥
'O mighty-armed one, acquire the necessary strength and then perform your task. Come and behold the realms attained through merit, and ascend to heaven even in this very body.' ॥ 3-164-33 ॥
english translation
saMsiddhasa tavaM mahAbAhò kuru kAryama anuttamama pazya puNyakRtAM lòkAna sazarIrò divaM varaja ॥ 3-164-33 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइत्य उक्तॊ ऽहं मातलिना गिरिम आमन्त्र्य शैशिरम परदक्षिणम उपावृत्य समारॊहं रथॊत्तमम ॥ ३-१६४-३४ ॥
'"O Bharata, the thousand-eyed lord of the celestials wishes to see you." Thus addressed by Matali, I took leave of the sacred Himalaya, circumambulated it, and ascended that excellent chariot.' ॥ 3-164-34 ॥

itya uktò 'haM mAtalinA girima Amantrya zaizirama paradakSiNama upAvRtya samAròhaM rathòttamama ॥ 3-164-34 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचॊदयाम आस सहयान मनॊमारुतरंहसः मातलिर हयशास्त्रज्ञॊ यथावद भूरिदक्षिणः ॥ ३-१६४-३५ ॥
'Then, the exceedingly generous Matali, versed in the lore of horses, drove the steeds, swift as thought or the wind. As the chariot began to move, the charioteer, observing my steady composure, marveled at it.' ॥ 3-164-35 ॥
